TECHNIQUE: Conventional
panorex.
Comparison: None.
Findings: There are
multiple areas of dental
post operative change with
multiple absent molars seen
bilaterally along the
maxillary and mandibular
alveolar ridges. The most
notable finding is that of
abnormal geographic
sclerosis in the left
mandibular body. The lesion
is non expansile. There is
not evidence of cortical
breakthrough. No
radiographically evidence
soft tissue component is
noted. There is a thin
radiolucent halo surrounding
the lesion. The remainder
of the osseous structures
are intact. The visualized
paranasal sinuses are
unremarkable.
IMPRESSION: Left mandibular
body sclerotic lesion.
Differential considerations
include: Cemental dysplasia,
atypical presentation of
fibrous dysplasia and
osteoma.
